This is an Update Reminder:

SCHOOL BEGINS 2 JUNE
so write that letter and mail it now
for when the gals return.

************************************

Was that a quick summer vacation or what.

The gals return to school Monday, 2 June.

If your gal was lucky she spent summer vacation in her village with family or friends.
If that was not an option, she was one of the 14 gals who remained in the Boarding at Regina Pacis.
Sister Margaret Fernandes mentioned she and the other Sisters tried, as always, to show these gals a good time.
Why don't you write and ask about summer holiday?

Your gal will now know her grades from last year. Why don't you find out if she starts this new school year at the next higher grade level? Is she excited, scared?

This is an excellent time to offer inspiration and tell her you know she will work hard to do her best.
Tell her you look forward to hearing about her new classes.
Tell her you think about her often.

She would love to hear about your "summer" goings-on and about your family.

Nothing new to report about yourself or your family?
How about something interesting about where you live, or about your hobbies or your work.
Perhaps describing your "summer" weather and countryside: I bet they might be different than anything your gal has experienced (remember India knows temperatures in degrees celsius).

What you do, or used to do, for occupation is always a good topic and helps broaden horizens! Don't be shy to discuss your work environment and detail what you do on a day to day basis. Maybe your gal will be inspired to follow in your footsteps.

Do you have a photo or two to send?

Don't forget to respond to her last letter. Did she ask you questions? Did she mention anything you should comment on?

Enough ideas. You do the rest.
Write that letter, it doesn't have to be a long one,

and...get ready for another school year to begin!
