Do you want to sponsor a specific type of person? Do you want to sponsor educational expenses? Do you want to make a general donation? Do you want to make a donation to improve living standards? Something else? Any and all are possible. Your requests and donations would be followed up by Sr. Margaret Correa personally, with photos or letters, so you can see the direct benefit of your donations! SPONSORSHIP IS ABOUT DONATING The monetary part of Sponsorship is about donating funds to be applied towards the education of the young women at the Change A Life projects run by the Sisters Religious of Mary Immaculate. All young women living at/attending classes are 100% supported by the Sisters who run the organization and school; therefore the young women don't have to worry about being dependent on outside sponsorship and "kicked out" if sponsorship ends. Having you, an outside Sponsor, who donates funds towards the cost of education accomplishes two things, (1) lets the young women know that someone "out there" cares about them and supports them and (2) allows the Sisters to defer the funds they would normally have applied towards an education and apply them instead to, for example, medical needs. In this way your donation goes twice as far! The Sisters receive limited funding and rely heavily on donations that help fulfill their work. GETTING FUNDS TO THE CAL 3 PROJECT The project can receive funds in any normal manner. The way you choose to donate should be your personal preference. However, considering the possible volital tendancies of the African infrastructure, wiring funds from your bank is probably the most efficient. Please also inform us of your method of donation so we can tell you when it arrives: CAL@TheWorldNow.com Wiring Funds may be one of the easiest and fastest ways to donate and is most popular. It simply means calling your bank and telling them to send, for example, $200USD, from your account to the Change A Life 3 project in Africa. There is a bunch of account information that your bank will need. To get this information please email CAL@TheWorldNow.com   If your bank charges wiring fees try asking for a waiver since the wire is for a charitable cause. Personal checks are acceptable and should be made out in your currency. Please email CAL@TheWorldNow.com   for mailing address instructions. Money Orders and other methods such as demand drafts are also very acceptable. Please confer with your local bank and/or post office to discuss the options specific to your country and area. For Tax Exemption: It is not known at this time what kind of tax exemption is available within Africa. Meanwhile contact your local tax authorities for information about your own country tax laws and charitable contributions: we would be most happy to provide any information necessary to assist with documentation of your donations and of our projects.
