"Here I am with you once again. I miss India very much. One sister Grace from Kerala came to visit the sisters.
Their congregation too works for the upliftment of women
especially migrant workers. She was happy to meet me. Her convent is
close to the shrine of St Catherine de Louboure and she invited me over;
I read news of Rome and listened to the radio too. I liked what Benedict
XVI said about St. Paul, whose encounter with Christ on the road to
Damascus 'literally revolutionized his life.'
'Christ became his reason for being and the profound motive of all his
apostolic work,' 'In his letters, after the name of God, which appears
more than 500 times, the name most often mentioned is that of Christ
-- 380 times,' the Pontiff said in the second reflection on St. Paul
in his series of reflections on the men and women of the early Church.
Benedict XVI said that the life of St. Paul, born in present-day
Turkey, leads one to understand 'how Jesus Christ can influence a
person's life and, hence, also our own life.' 'In fact, Jesus Christ
is the apex of the history of salvation and therefore the true
discriminating point in the dialogue with other religions...'
On the first Sunday of each month the museums in France are free, so the 5th of
November we went to the Museum of Quai Branly in a building designed
by Jean Nouvel. It is at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. It is a museum
of arts and civilizations of Africa, Asia, Oceana and the Americas. There
was something of India too.
I know to travel by Metro. It is easy and
one always finds someone speaking English if one is lost or confused.
The attached photo [below] was taken at the spot where Princess Diana died.
I end now with much love,
Sr. Margaret Correa.
