My Diary – August 2009



1st August 2009: I went to Sevalaya in Borivali to wish good bye to the sisters, girls & people. After that I spent the weekend with Wenona & had a lovely time with her three children. I attended mass in the St. Blaise’s Church. It was friendship day & the kids tied friendship bands on the Pascal candle.

3rd August 2009: I gave a day of recollection to the girls of Std X of the day & night school. We began with some exercises of yoga.

9th August 2009: I came to Goa & stayed with Lily & her family in her beautiful house.

10th August 2009: I visited Perpetua who donated over one lakh rupees for the missions in Burkina Faso. Lily & Tony accompanied me. We took her for lunch to a nice restaurant. Then we went to Navelim to our new house & met the sisters.

11th August 2009: Moira my village is beautiful during this season. I went for a walk with my grand niece Rochelle to our parish church, the compound of the church, the cemetery. I read the register where the death of my Dad was recorded way back in 1958. What happy memories all this brought me.


12th August 2009: I visited the chapel where I prayed when I was a child & roamed the streets on which I played. Only now they are tarred. Everything is so green & beautiful. I looked around at the place which was my home, filled now with shrubs & bushes.

12th August 2009: My old friends from ACDIL where I did my Teacher’s training in Porvorim came to see me with their husbands. It was such a lovely reunion 12th August 2009: My friend Jaya came to Goa to spend a few days with me. I was so proud to show her around. Perpetua also came to have lunch with us. The sisters of Olaulim & Navelim visited us too. We had the meeting of the members of Moira Net in my sister Lily’s house. The month of August was really full of lovely encounters.

Please pray that the Good Lord give me the grace and strength to persevere in my mission.
