My Diary – February 2009 1st February 2009 : Srs Christa & Bea took a busload of girls from the hostel & centre to Dingasso for the Diosecan pilgrimage. They left early in the morning & returned late in the evening. The day was spent in prayer & penitence. 23rd February 2009 :Beatrice renewed her vows for the first time. The eucharist was celebrated in our chapel which was packed to capacity. It was simple and very touching. We invited her family members, the priest who celebrated the mass & the sisters of Nasso for the ceremony & dinner that followed. 26th February 2009 : The little girl below in red is Christina who will be adopted by a couple in Spain. Sr Christa visited the orphanage where the child is & took many photos which we sent to Frederico & Caty her future parents. 27th February 2009 : Going shopping is exhausting. The heat is too much. The vendors beckon you to buy their ware like in all parts of the world & do not leave you in peace. Fruits & vegetables are not sold in weight but in tomato sauce containers.
